Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky shared a video of himself in his office on Monday, 12 days into Russia's attack on Ukraine.

I stay here. I live in Kyiv. Zelensky said in the video that he was not hiding. I am not afraid of anyone.

Zelensky said in a speech that he was the number one target, but he did not want to be evacuated from the capital of the country.

The regular video addresses of the wartime president have become a focal point of the resistance. The New York Times reported that this is the first time since the war started that a video has been filmed inside his office.

Zelensky said in the video that Mondays have always been known as hard days, but he added that each day that the war drags on feels like another hard day.

He said that every day of struggle creates better conditions for us. In peace. After this war.

As Russia invaded his country, he offered words of encouragement.

Zelensky said that every Ukrainian man and woman who protested against the invaders yesterday and will protest tomorrow are heroes.

hatred that the enemy brought to our cities will not stay there. He said there will be no trace of it. There will be no trace of the enemy. Everything will be rebuilt. We will make our cities better than any other city in Russia.

According to The Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, the number of civilian deaths caused by the invasion is likely to be much higher.
