According to a report from Deadline, Amazon Prime Video is in talks with Sony to make a live-action series based on the God of War games.

The executive producers of The Expanse and The Wheel of Time are expected to lead the series. According to Deadline, Sony Pictures Television and PlayStation productions will also be involved.

A live-action Twisted Metal is also in the works

Producers will have a lot of ground to cover if the television adaption of the show comes to fruition. The release of the first game for the PS2 in 2005 started the elaborate Greek-inspired history of God of War. The setting of God of War: Ragnarok will be the Norse realm of Midgard, which is expected sometime this year.

Some of Sony's most popular games have been adapted for TV and film. If you wanted to watch all of this new content in one place, you're going to be disappointed; each show is signed to a different streaming network, and its films will air in theaters at the time of their initial release. The live-action remake of Twisted Metal was signed off by Sony. The upcoming Ghost of Tsushima movie is directed by the same man who made John Wick and The Last of Us, as well as the new movie starring Tom Holland, which got mixed reviews.
