Ireland is welcoming visitors from around the world with open arms just in time for St. Patrick's Day. Irish authorities have just removed travel restrictions related to the Pandemic.

International travelers can come to the Emerald Isle, regardless of their country of origin, as of March 6, according to the Irish government. There is no need to provide proof of vaccination or recovery, test results or even the passenger locator form anymore.

VERTISING

Travelers to Ireland don't have to worry about post-arrival testing. Travelers will not be asked to check a PLF receipt. The Irish government wrote in a statement that anyone who develops Covid-19 symptoms in Ireland should follow the guidance of the Health Service Executive in relation to isolation and testing.

The United Kingdom's entry requirements for passengers transiting through the Republic of Ireland on their way to Northern Ireland are still being fulfilled.

The Irish Health Minister took to social media on Saturday evening to announce that the country's last remaining COVID-19 regulations had been eliminated.

I’ve just signed the regulations removing the Covid requirements for incoming international passengers (Passenger Locator Form, proof of vaccine status / test). These were the last remaining Covid regs. Effective from midnight tonight. Another step forward in our Covid efforts. pic.twitter.com/dACL1LULem

The current Russian invasion of their homeland made it easier for Ukrainian refugees to enter the country, according to IrishCentral. Minister of State James Browne said on Sunday that between 1,300 and 1,400 Ukrainian refugees have already arrived in Ireland.

Ireland has abolished almost all COVID-19 restrictions for public places, despite its ongoing epidemiological situation at home that is being fueled by the Omicron variant. The mandatory wearing of face masks indoors was dropped on February 28, although they are still recommended to be worn when taking public transportation and in healthcare settings. Those who come down with COVID-19 symptoms are still asked to self-isolated.

The French prime minister announced last week that France will no longer have its vaccine passport and health pass. The French border will not be affected by the relaxation of restrictions at home.
