Calvin Ridley responded to the news of his suspension on the social networking site.
CALVIN RIDLEY @CalvinRidley1I bet 1500 total I don’t have a gambling problem
CALVIN RIDLEY @CalvinRidley1I couldn’t even watch football at that point

CALVIN RIDLEY @CalvinRidley1I know I was wrong But I’m getting 1 year lol
The posts came after Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network reported that the league would be suspending Ridley for the entire season for betting on games.
After the Week 7 game, the Falcons' running back stepped away from the team because of mental health issues and was on the non- football illness list at the time of the betting activity.
According to Adam Schefter, Ridley placed multi-leg parlays on the Falcons to win, although he did not receive any inside information from the organization.
The gambling will be costly for the 27-year-old, who will have to give up his $11.1 million salary for 2022.
Atlanta had exercised its fifth-year option for the first-round pick last year, giving him a salary that would have matched his career earnings from his first four seasons.
Spotrac says that the contract will toll to 2023, but the salary won't be guaranteed.
He was named second-team All-Pro during his last full season, finishing 2020 with 90 catches for 1,374 receiving yards and nine touchdown.
