It is a plague of spiders.

A new report says that the Joro spider could spread through most of the United States East Coast.

According to the University of Georgia, the arachnids first appeared in the United States around the year 2013. The spiders are a familiar sight in the state.

The rest of the eastern seaboard could be caught up in their web.

The University of Georgia said that the creatures, which are yellow, blue-black and red, have colonized much of Japan and that a similar climate could make the Eastern U.S. spider central.

Andy Davis, a research scientist in the Odum School of Ecology and one of the study's authors, said that it looks like the Joros could probably survive in most of the Eastern Seaboard.

The good news is that the spiders don't seem to harm the local environment.

He said people should try to live with them.
