The Dominican Republic could be the next Caribbean island where Sandals builds a resort.

During an official visit hosted by Luis Rodolfo Abinader Corona, president of the Dominican Republic, Sandals executives toured key tourist areas.

During the two-day exploratory visit, the team visited a number of destinations.

When leadership at the highest levels makes time to discuss the power of tourism and investment opportunities that expand its reach, we know we have found a like-minded partner. We look forward to the possibilities.

The ambassador of the Dominican Republic in Jamaica said it was a dream to have the Sandals brand here. We are excited about the possibility that our island nation will become the first Spanish Caribbean territory to welcome the Sandals organization.

A multi-year expansion is being done by Sandals to strengthen tourism's return to the Caribbean region. There are three new resorts planned for Jamaica, one in St.Vincent and the Grenadines, and one in Beaches in the year 2023.
