Von Miller, a free agent, is considering a return to the Denver Broncos, based on his latest social media posts.

I kinda want that old thing back.. 5280

Miller wrote in the picture that he wondered if they would give him his old locker back.

He asked the question "58 or 40", referring to the numbers he wore with the Broncos and Rams.

The Broncos traded Miller to the Rams in the middle of the season. He helped the Los Angeles win the Super Bowl, recording two sacks in the game, but he is set to become a free agent.

One of the most accomplished players in the NFL with eight Pro Bowl selections, two Super Bowl titles and 115.5 career sacks, the 32-year-old should be in high demand. He missed the whole of 2020 due to an injury, but he returned with 9.5 sacks in 15 games between Denver and Los Angeles.

He had four sacks in four playoff games.

The Broncos were willing to let him go in the middle of the season in exchange for a second- and third-round pick. Getting Miller back in free agency would make the trade look even better as the squad stays competitive while still adding for the future.

The Broncos finished third in the league in scoring defense last year, but they could get even better if Miller is healthy.

The Broncos could be a legitimate playoff contender if the offense can improve.
