Darrell and Jordan had a conversation with the co-founder and president of Cityblock. CItyblock provides primary care, behavioral health, and social care to people who have been historically marginalized in the healthcare system, primarily people who are receiving their health insurance through Medicaid with the goal of providing high-qualityholistic care at a lower cost. They work with insurance providers through a network of physicians. While working in a hospital system, Dr. Ajayi became frustrated with the system that was sending the same patients back to the hospital time and time again. She began experimenting with ways to extend her care, such as giving out her cell phone number, making house calls, and being available to explain her medications. That idea grew into Cityblock, which has a scaled level of personalized care. They talked about the healthcare system, how providers can improve care, and answered audience questions.
