A growing number of companies have decided to cut ties with the country due to the invasion of Ukraine.

In an updated post on its website, the company said it was suspending sales in Russia due to the ongoing tragedy in Ukraine.

Take-Two’s ban includes new game sales and installations

Take-Two decided to temporarily block new game sales and installations in Russia. The ban applies to all of Take-Two's subsidiaries, including 2K Games, the developer of the Grand Theft Auto series. The news comes about a week before the consoles.

Alan Lewis, Take-Two's vice president of corporate communications and public affairs, said in a statement that they have watched recent events unfold in Ukraine with concern and sadness.

Last week, the company stopped selling its games and virtual currency after removing Russian and Belarusian teams from its games. New sales of games from the companies were suspended on Friday and then again on Saturday. CD Projekt Red said last week that it was cutting Russia off from both physical and digital game sales.
