The Muppets’ house band is getting its own Disney Plus show

Disney's recent success with The Muppets has come by way of movies such as Muppets Haunted Mansion, and the studio is about to produce another series featuring puppet performers as they team up with a human friend.

Disney plans to produce a new show from The Goldbergs creator, Adam F. Goldberg, starring Canadian Lilly Singh and Dr. Teeth.

The band attempt to record its first proper album under the guidance of a young A&R executive in The Muppets Mayhem, which was co-created and written by Goldberg, Bill Barretta, and Jeff Yorkes. David Lightbody is the executive producer of the show. Lightbody told The Hollywood Reporter that the new show is meant to be the first specifically centering Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem.

Lightbody said they were excited to bring the story of The Electric Mayhem Band to the forefront of the new series.

There is no word on when Disney Plus will be showing The Muppets Mayhem.
