Ukrainian Actor Pasha Lee Killed During Battle Against Russians

The Ukrainian actor was killed while fighting off Russian forces, having gone from entertainer to soldier in the battle for his country.

According to the Odesa International Film Festival, Lee died while serving in the Ukrainian army this weekend, falling at the hands of Russian occupiers who were bombarding the city of Irpin with mortar shells.

He was remembered by listing his film credentials, which included roles in "Shadows of Unforgotten Ancestors" and "The Fight Rules".

He's done commercial and TV work, as well as voice acting, and he was also known as a composer and theater actor.

Lee is said to have served in a territorial defense unit in the Ukrainian armed forces, which saw action in Irpin, an area that was under siege all weekend long.

One of his costars mourned his death by taking to social media and writing. He is an actor, TV presenter, my colleague and a good acquaintance, and we shot a film together.

He was 33 years old.
