Just in time for International Women's Day, a new piece of art on the home page highlights the diverse lives of women around the world.

This year's Doodle is an animated slideshow that moves viewers through various, brightly-drawn scenes, each of which shows a woman engaging in different hobbies, activities, or just the regular tasks of life. It has moments of home, work, and life.

The last couple of years have been hard for everyone, but women especially. Young girls are usually encouraged to dream big when we celebrate women's incredible accomplishments. The reality of the last couple of years has forced women to shift focus, adjust priorities, and make sacrifice to be there for others who need them.

We all wake up in the morning with a purpose, big or small. Maer wrote that it all matters.

The message of the Doodle is related to global celebrations this month. #BreakTheBias is the theme of International Women's Day in 2022, and it encourages communities around the world to identify and disrupt gender biases and stereotypes. The campaign encourages people to support gender equality by working in their own communities and businesses. In the United States, March is Women's History month. The National Women's History Alliance designated this year's theme to be " Women Providing Healing, Promoting Hope", which spotlights the role of women in caring for their families and frontline workers during the Pandemic.
