Three people in a family of four were killed when a shell landed in the street. The father of the family was unconscious when the soldiers tried to help him. The Times reported that a mother and two children were dead.

Russia has been attacking Ukraine for the last 11 days. The major city of Kherson has been claimed by Russia since the initial attack on February 24.

Russian President Vladimir Putin initially said that his invasion of Ukraine would not target any civilians.

Some 200,000 people were trapped in the city of Mariupol because Russian forces did not adhere to the second cease-fire agreement. The cease-fire was supposed to allow civilians to escape through a safe route, but it fell apart when Russian troops began shelling.

The Ukrainian Parliament on Sunday called for a no-fly zone over the country, saying that Russian forces are targeting several areas.

NATO said that a no-fly zone would cause a full-fledged war in Europe and cause much more human suffering.
