Apple will not release an iMac Pro or a Mac Pro until at least 2023, according to renowned Apple analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo.
In his predictions, he said that Apple will release a new high-end Mac mini and a 27-inch external display without mini-LED in 2022.
Predictions for Apple's new desktop products:1. 2022: More powerful Mac mini and more affordable external display (27-inch without mini-LED).
2. 2023: Mac Pro and iMac Pro. — 郭明錤 (Ming-Chi Kuo) (@mingchikuo) March 6, 2022
The information shared by Ross Young is at odds with the prediction that Apple will not release the iMac Pro until next year. Young said that the iMac Pro could launch in June.
The iMac Pro is expected to replace the 27-inch Intel-based computer in the lineup. Young has said that the iMac Pro will feature mini-LED and previous rumors suggest a similar design to the 24 inch size.
It is possible that the analysts are referencing different devices because of the large discrepancy between the information shared by both.
The highest-end of the lineup could be referred to by Kuo as a true professional-grade iMac, while details put forth by Young are simply referring to a non-pro iMac.
It is worth noting that Apple had previously used the name iMac, despite one rumor suggesting otherwise.
Apple will release an affordable display for consumers this year, according to a report. The display will be 27 inches in size, not mini-LED. Mark Gurman said it was likely that the display would be announced during the Apple event on Tuesday.
A new high-end Mac mini is expected to debut during next week's event, as well as a new high-end iMac this year. We expect a lot from Apple next week.
