A woman was killed trying to save dogs that were abandoned during the war. Russian troops shot and killed Anastasiia Yalanskaya, who was delivering dog food to a shelter. Her family believes that she was targeted by members of the Russian military. Two other volunteers were also killed. The town where this happened has been the site of constant Russian aggression. Hours before she was killed, she posted a photo of her in a car next to bags of dog food. She had just delivered the food when the attack occurred. She was one of the best human beings, said her husband. She was committed to helping her friends and relatives. She loved animals. The dog and cat were with us.
