Fans at the United Center may have been happy with the foul by Jones on Allen, but he insisted that it was not intentional and that he was not a dirty player.

In the fourth quarter, Jones was given a foul for hitting Allen in the face with his elbow after trying to defend Allen on a drive to the basket.

Jones said he was just trying to stop.

Jones said after the game that he was not a dirty player. I talked to all the refs that were there today. I didn't think that was a fight. They said I hit him. I did not feel it. He bumped my hip and fell on me. That was all I felt.

The sold-out crowd of 21,259 booed Allen every time he touched the ball after he was the object of ire for Chicago fans.

On January 21, the last time the Bulls and Bucks played each other, Allen committed a foul on Alex Caruso that resulted in him breaking his wrist. Since then, Caruso has not played.

It was the first time this season that Allen had been called for a foul, and the second time in his NBA career. Allen was suspended for one game by the NBA for a foul, which prompted the Bucks to release a statement defending him and disagreeing with the suspension.

On Thursday night, Bulls coach Billy Donovan told reporters that his team had left Allen's foul in the past.

The Bulls were prepared to play the Kings in the second game of the series, according to the center.

Thompson told reporters in Atlanta that he would have issues if one of his dogs was taken out like that. Bulls basketball is all about setting the tone. I don't think anyone should forget about what he did to one of our guys.

I think guys have it in the back of their heads, and if they want to play chippy, let's play chippy.

Budenholzer didn't offer much reaction when he was asked about Thompson's comments before the game.

He said he had no idea what you were talking about. Nobody said anything to me.

The game went on without incident despite the crowd reaction. Allen was jeered for 31 minutes and 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 888-270-6611 None of the players took issue with the hard foul on Allen by Jones.

Jones did not try to exact revenge for the play.

I am not even tripping off that. Jones said it was basketball and he wanted to get a stop as much as possible. We did not like what happened in Milwaukee. We didn't like it. Nobody liked that. I am not going to try to take a man out.

That is not who I am. If I get a foul in the process of trying to stop, then so be it. I will not blatantly take that man out. He has a family to take care of. Why would I do that?
