Tickets have just become available for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, and its first hour pre-sales have already surpassed Marvel's Avengers: Endgame.

According to ticket booking company Atom Tickets, the upcoming final installment of the Skywalker Saga sold a whopping 45 percent more tickets in its first hour of pre-sales than the superhero blockbuster Avengers: Endgame. This could be a significant forecast of how well The Rise of Skywalker will perform at the box office, as Marvel's conclusion to the Infinity Saga went on to become the highest grossing film of all time, breaking Avatar 's long-held record by raking in $2.79 billion USD globally.

Most impressively, as it stands, the top five highest-grossing films for first hour pre-sales at Atom Tickets all belong to Disney:
