Katie Meyer's Parents Say Potential Stanford Discipline Might Have Led To Suicide

The parents of soccer star Katie Meyer fear that a possible punishment from the school could have led to her suicide.

Steven and Gina Meyer said their daughter was facing potential discipline over an alleged incident involving her and one of her Cardinal teammates.

The two parents say that over the last few weeks, they had been receiving letters from the school over it all, and that in the past few days, she had gotten the final letter that there was going to be a trial or something.

Gina speculated that the death of the goalie might have been caused by it all.

Gina said that this was the only thing they could come up with that triggered something.

The school declined to comment on the situation.

The last couple days have been a nightmare for Gina and Steven.

The young man was 22 years old.
