President Donald Trump speaks at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Orlando, Fla., on Saturday, February 26, 2022.

On Friday, former President Trump lashed out at his former Attorney General Bill Barr, accusing him of failing to do more to tackle Trump's baseless claims of widespread voter fraud.

Trump said that former Attorney General Bill Barr wouldn't know voter fraud if it was staring him in the face. They broke him.

Trump accused Barr of saving his own hide by not acting on Trump's allegations of election fraud in the 2020 election.

Barr told NBC News that the former president became enraged when he told him there was no evidence that the election was rigged. The opinion of Barr has been supported by officials from both parties.

I told him that all this stuff was false. Barr said that it was wrong to be shoveling it out the way his team was.

Barr said that Trump accepted his offer to resign from his post. The account of the former attorney general is at odds with what Trump said.

More than 13 months after leaving the White House, Trump has continued to spread the false notion that the 2020 election was stolen from him and that he was the rightful winner of the presidential race.

Many of his supporters who participated in the Jan. 6, 2021 riot at the U.S. Capitol have been accused of being targeted by Democrats for political gain.

In a court filing this week, the House select committee said it had uncovered evidence that Trump and his campaign engaged in a criminal conspiracy to defraud the United States.
