There aren't many shoppers in the trade market for New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley.

It doesn't seem like teams have called the Giants since he was put on the trade block, according to Ian Rapoport.

The Giants general manager told reporters earlier this week that the team was open to everything, when asked about the possibility of trading their top players.

The asking price for Barkley would seem to make it difficult for a deal to come together.

The assistant general manager told Jordan that the veteran would want a first-round draft pick.

According to Spotrac, Barkley has the eighth-highest cap hit among running backs in 2022.

Since winning the offensive player of the year award in the National Football League, Saquon has struggled with injuries and inconsistent play. In his first season, he led the league with 2,028 yards from scrimmage, but has just 2,391 over the past three seasons combined.

He tore his knee in a Week 2 loss to the Chicago Bears in the 2020 season. He missed four games due to an ankle injury.

The Giants took Saquon Barkley with the second overall pick. The Penn State graduate led the team in rushing yards and was third in receiving yards as a freshman.

With Brian Daboll entering his first season as New York's head coach and uncertainty at the quarterback position, there could be a significant role in the offense for Barkley.
