The New York Times reported that there was chaos at the central train station in Kyiv as people tried to catch trains outside of the capital.

According to the UN Refugee Agency, more than one million people had fled from Ukraine as of Friday morning.

Many more people are trying to leave the country as the war continues, and the agency believes that 4 million people could leave the country.

The Mayor of Kherson, a port city in southern Ukraine, said Thursday that Russian forces had taken control of the city.

The United Nations said 331 civilian deaths and 675 civilian injuries have been recorded in Ukraine since Russia invaded.
