According to sources close to the investigation, lawyers for the NBA are preparing to interview Robert Sarver about the accusations against the team and its majority owner.
More than 300 people have been interviewed by the league as part of its investigation into allegations of racism and sexism in a sometimes hostile and toxic workplace in Phoenix during the 17-year tenure of the team's owner.
New York-based Wachtell Lipton, which previously led ownership-centered investigations into the LA Clippers and Atlanta Hawks, has interviewed current and former employees of the Suns. Sources said that some people have been interviewed multiple times.
The lawyers have inquired about the specific allegations in the report. Sources said that employees confirmed a range of published allegations while introducing others and provided the investigators with documents.
The Suns have given access to internal emails and human resources records as part of the investigation.
The NBA and the Suns didn't respond to the request for comment.
It is not clear how long it will take to complete the investigation. The lawyers have always told current and former employees that they are in thefact- finding stage.
