According to Guinness, the most-followed musical act on the platform is BTS.

Guinness recognized the group with a record 40.2 million followers.

Guinness said that in the past month, BTS became the most-followed musical act on TikTok with 45.7 million followers.

The Korean boy-band has more followers on the social media platform than any other group in the history of the platform with 44.2 million, beating out One Direction who had 31.7 million followers.

Since the group's debut, they have broken dozens of Guinness records. The group broke 13 records last year, including the best-selling album in South Korea, most weeks on the U.S. Hot 100, and the most streamed group. V broke two Guinness records in December, when his personal account became the fastest page to reach 1 million and then 10 million followers on the platform.

V broke the record for reaching 10 million followers in less than five hours.

The one-day record was broken by the group.
