The co-founder of id Software has released a new level for the game. He designed the first level of the game since it was released in 1994 and it will benefit the humanitarian efforts of the Red Cross and the UN Central Emergency Response Fund in Ukraine. 100 percent of the proceeds from the level will go to those organizations, according to the announcement by Romero.

CD Projekt Red stopped selling its games in Russia and Belarus after the Russian national team and clubs were removed from the games.
Ukrainian Vice Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov called on Sony and Microsoft to block the accounts of players in Russia. Fedorov is hoping that the move would encourage Russians to resist their government.
