Russ has tense exchange with reporter after Lakers' loss (2:08)

The reporter asked Russell if he expected the Lakers to do well this season. There is a time and a place for it.

After the Los Angeles Lakers were crushed by the rival Clippers on Thursday night, Russell Westbrook said he is still trying to figure out his role with the team, which he said has changed every single night.

The Clippers swept the season series against their hallway neighbors. Reggie Jackson had his best game as a Clipper, torching the Lakers for 36 points, nine assists and eight rebound.

Lakers head coach Frank Vogel said that the coaching staff has discussed several options to help the team get back on track, including the possibility of bringing Russell Westbrook off the bench.

When asked if the Lakers had discussed the idea of having Westbrook come off the bench, Vogel said, "We've talked about everything."

When asked if it is something that could be seen in the future, he repeated himself: "We've talked about everything."

The Lakers were left trying to figure out why they are not doing as well as they could. The Lakers trailed by as many as 30 points in the third quarter and were down by just four in the fourth.

Despite a little struggle in finding his role with the Lakers, he remains determined.

My role and what I do has changed every night, so I am trying to figure that out.

His expectations are still the same. I am not a quitter. It is not in my genes. Regardless of what is going on, I will not quit. I will fight to the end, and if it doesn't work, that's cool as well. I can accept the results. I will never give up because of a little struggle that is happening this time of the year.

Jackson danced around the Lakers defense and put up 21 points, five rebound and five assists in the second half. He found teammates in mismatches and punished the Lakers by scoring and controlling the game.

At one point in the fourth, a red-hot Jackson scored 10 of 12 Clippers points and was feeling so good that he was dancing to the in-game music while dribbling the ball in the half court.

Reggie Jackson played out of his mind tonight.

The Lakers are clinging to the ninth spot in the Western Conference despite being a title favorite. The Clippers have won seven in a row against the Lakers and swept the season series for the first time in three years.

They are a better team than the Clippers, said James.

The continuity and defense of the Lakers have been devastated by injuries such as the one to Anthony Davis. It has been difficult to form chemistry with 31 starting lineups this season.

The search will continue for anything that can fix the Lakers.

It hasn't taken shape, but it hasn't taken unturned in terms of trying to find solutions to get this right. There is no quit in us. We will keep going. We are trying to find ways to win with Anthony out. We have not found that yet. It is something that we can do. We haven't found it yet.

The Lakers are a team that few will want to face in the playoffs, according to Clippers coach Ty Lue.

I think they have the most starting lineups in the NBA. It is difficult. When they get to the playoffs or the play-in game, I guarantee you that you don't want to see an 8 seed.

They are a good team. They have to figure out how they want to play, but they also have to figure out their health situation. That has been hurting them all season.
