According to NBC News, former Attorney General William Barr said that former President Donald Trump didn't have a good idea of what the Justice Department did during his time in office.
In an interview with the outlet, Barr talked about the phone call between Rump and Zelensky, which eventually led to Trump's first impeachment.
After Trump told Zelensky that he would be getting Barr to reach out to the Ukrainians regarding investigations into Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, and Hunter Biden, Barr became enraged, according to NBC News.
The plan was described as a "harebrained scheme" by Barr.
In an op-ed for the Wall Street Journal this week, Barr recounted how he confronted Trump about his claims of voter fraud in the 2020 election and told him they were bullshit.
During their meeting on December 1, 2020, the former attorney general told Trump that his lawyers were going to pursue his baseless claims. Barr described how Trump slammed his hands on his desk after he accepted Barr's resignation.
Barr's book, "One Damn Thing After Another", is scheduled for release this month. He wrote that the election was not stolen and that Trump lost it.
