A TV interview in India turned into a shouting match as the program's host apparently mixed up his Ukrainian and American guests.

On the Times Now channel, the host of Indian Upfront got into an argument with the editor of the Kyiv Post, thinking he was arguing with his guest.

The international response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine was discussed by Shivshankar and Nahaylo.

Nahaylo is heard saying that the international community is neutral in the Ukraine war. India will not be lectured to, says Shivshankar.

A clip of the video has been viewed almost 9 million times. The Times Now website removed the interview from it's site.

The Times Group, the parent company of the channel, did not reply to CNBC's request for comment.

When Nahaylo's microphone was disconnected, the real McAdams was able to make clear that he had been silent.

I'm not talking. The other guy is talking. McAdams objected to being yelled at, but he wasn't able to say a word.

I'm not yelling at you. I'm talking about Mr. McAdams.

I am Mr. McAdams. McAdams said he was Mr. McAdams.

The host said he got that confused.

CNBC's Naman Tandon contributed to the report.
