Shell, Apple, and other companies have stopped doing business in Russia since the country invaded Ukraine. The sale of travel into and out of Russia has been stopped by the company. Ikea said on March 3 that it is closing all of its stores in Russia and suspending production.

According to the top refugee official at the United Nations, one million people have fled the country since Russia began its invasion.

This isn't the first time that Airbnb has pledged to house people who have been displaced by war. Up to 20,000 Afghan refugees will be temporarily housed by Airbnb.
