The Miami Heat shooting guard is set to make his long-awaited return to the court.

According to The Athletic's Shams Charania, Oladipo will make his season debut Monday against the Houston Rockets. The two-time All-Star hasn't played since undergoing surgery to repair his quad.

The Houston Rockets acquired him earlier in the year from the Indiana Pacers, who traded him to Miami last season. He only appeared in four games for the Heat and averaged 12.0 points, less than the 21.2 points he averaged in 20 games with the Astros.

When healthy, the 29-year-old is a versatile player who can lead an offense and anchor a team's defense. He averaged a career-high 23.1 points and 2.4 steals in his first season in Indiana.

During the following season, he tore the quad in his right knee, which took a turn for the worse. He has appeared in just 52 games since he came back.

The Heat have a 41-22 record going into Thursday. The Miami Hurricanes are fifth in the league in defense, holding opponents to 104.9 points per game. Adding a new player to the lineup will increase the strength of the unit.

It may take time for Oladipo to get back into a rhythm on the court, but he should be able to fit in with the defense. The two of them should wreak havoc on the wing. When they face Miami, opposing backcourts will be in for a long night.
