People around the league feel that Rodgers will play for the Packers in 2022.

According to The Athletic's Jeff Howe, there is a widespread belief in the league that the four-time NFL Most Valuable Player is coming back to the Packers.

Howe said opposing teams have inquired about Rodgers availability, but they don't believe a trade will happen this summer.

The Packers have made moves that suggest Rodgers is coming back. Tom came out of retirement to join Matt LaFleur's staff as a quarterbacks coach.

LaFleur told reporters on Wednesday that Rodgers played a significant role in bringing Clements back to the team.

The Packers were working on a new contract for Rodgers if he decided to return, according to Ian Rapoport.

After Green Bay lost to the San Francisco 49ers in the playoffs, Rodgers told reporters he would take some time to figure out what he would do next.

Rodgers told reporters that he would take some time and have conversations with the people around him before making a decision.

The free agency period for the National Football League begins on March 16. The Packers have several key free agents. They are over the cap by $29.8 million.

Rodgers has won two awards in a row. The quarterback threw for 4,115 yards and 37 touchdown in 16 starts last season.

The Packers have been the top seed in the playoffs in each of the past two years, but they have not made it to the Super Bowl.
