You can connect your devices to the internet with a wi-fi network. To keep your internet secure, you need a password.

Anyone can connect to your network without a password. strangers can reduce your internet speed In a worst case scenario, they can steal sensitive information from your devices.

You should change your password to prevent this.

It is simpler than it seems, but you will need to log into your routers configuration page to do this.

How to change your Wi-Fi password

1. Use any internet browser on a Mac or PC to open the configuration page. To do this, you will need to type in your default address. This can be either.192 or.192.

If the above addresses don't work, you should check your specific routers details. They are often written on the bottom, back, or side of the routers and listed as either an access URL or an internet Protocol address.

2. You can log into your router with its usernames and passwords. By default, the usernames and passwords are admin or user admin, but you should check with your internet service provider if this doesn't work.

3. You can locate theWireless,Wireless Security, orWlan option after logging in. It will be listed either at the top or left side of the page.

4. You can enter the password you want your connection to have in the box. The passwords are long and contain letters, numbers, and symbols.

You will be able to change the public name of your network here.

5. To save the changes, click or apply. The password will be changed.

If you find yourself lost, contact your manufacturer. If you received your internet service provider's routers, you could try contacting them.

If you change the password, the device may be disconnected, so you might need to connect them again.

What if I forgot my password?

If you can't remember your password, you can use an ethernet cable to connect to the internet. Follow the steps mentioned above to reset your password.

If you don't have an ethernet cable, you can reset the router. The current password will be erased, along with the password for the router, if this is done.

Don't worry. You will have all the information you need to access the page. Here is how you can reset your device.

1. The reset button is on your device. It will be inside a pin-sized hole that is usually located at the back of the routers. To reach inside and press the button, use a pin, paper clip, or other long and narrow object that can fit through the hole.

2. If you want to connect to the router's wi-fi network, you have to enter the address in the browser.

3. The password for your router is the default. The manufacturer will put this information on the back or underneath the device. Contact the manufacturer if you cannot find it.
