The 2019-20 NBA season kicked off last night and to tap into the hype Paramount Pictures dropped a weirdly funny Terminator: Dark Fate spot starring Kawhi Leonard and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The clip, which is packed full of sidebar NBA jokes, kicks off with Schwarzenegger pumping iron and running into Kawhi at the gym. One of the first things the spot plays off of is the fact Kawhi gets his fair share of press for being kind of a robot; NBA fans have even called him un unfeeling cyborg. Arnold then welcomes Kawhi to L.A. and even nicknames him a "Terminator," which then leads to an amusing Paul George cameo. After Paul George name-drops Linda Hamilton, the actress appears and pokes fun at Kawhi's robot laugh, and Paul can be heard calling Kawhi a "fun guy." As Kawhi walks away, his meme-worthy laugh can be heard. Check out the full clip above.
Look for Tim Miller's Terminator: Dark Fate in theaters starting on November 1.
