Stripchat, a porn site, is giving company employees a place to engage in pornography. The company installed one in their own workplace, and plans a commercial roll out in the future.
The Wank Pod is planned to come with masturbatory accessories, including a 4K screen to watch virtual reality cameras.
There is no word on whether Stripchat will accept the idea. This is probably a bit of self promotion and PR grab, but it raises some interesting questions about the future of the workplace.
Is there a future where companies shed conservative ideas about sex? Would a Wank Pod increase employee satisfaction? Would the risk of making some workers feel uncomfortable be too high? Who is supposed to clean this thing?
We wouldn't hold our breath to see it catch on the way that remote work has been normalized over the past few years.
