Bradley Beal may be done for the season because of a wrist injury, but he doesn't believe he is done playing for the Wizards.

The shooting guard said "that's fair" when asked if he was leaning toward re-signing with the only NBA team he has ever known, per Josh Robbins of The Athletic.

The Wizards selected him with the 3rd overall pick of the 2012 NBA draft.

He was selected to the All-NBA Third Team last season and is the face of the franchise.

The Florida product took a step back in his game in the years after the injury, but he still averaged 23.2 points a night. His mark from three-point range was the lowest of his career.

He believes that prime will continue in Washington and that he will remain in his prime for at least the immediate future.

The Wizards could have traded him prior to the deadline if they thought he wouldn't re-sign, but they chose not to.

Tommy Sheppard told reporters at the time that he and he had talked about it before and that he wanted to be here. He will be here in the future. I am sure he will let me know if he feels differently.

Andrew Gillis of NBC Sports explained that re-signing with Washington would allow him to maximize his next contract.

He can re-sign for approximately $241 million over the course of five years if he opts out of the final season of his deal. A max deal with another team would be about $180 million over four years.

That will be a factor in the decision that could determine the ceiling of Washington in 2022-23.
