The first action the company has taken in support of Ukraine isn't today's decision by CD Projekt Group. The Polish games company will donate the equivalent of $243,000 to a Polish humanitarian organization working in the besieged country. Fans and industry peers in Poland and Ukraine have been called on by other game developers to assist Ukraine.
Russian users will not be able to use the GOG launcher due to the war. Mykhailo Fedorov,Ukraine's vice prime minister, called on all game development companies and platforms to ban Russian and Belarusian accounts. Microsoft and Sony were mentioned by the Ukrainian government official. The population of the country would be cut off from buying video games if the platforms took action against Russia.
