It’s Official: Trump’s ‘Impenetrable’ Border Wall Was An Expensive Failure

Donald Trump promised to build a border wall between the United States and Mexico. The wall was broken thousands of times in the areas where it was completed, and the people who cut through it were able to do so with cheap power tools.

According to The Washington Post, data from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection shows that Mexicans cut through the wall 3,272 times over three years. They replaced the areas they cut with tinted putty, creating their own secret passages.

One source told the newspaper that you have to look closely to see it.

The incidents cited by the Post referred to cases where the wall had been cut, but it was also violated in other ways. Some people were building ladders with $5 worth of material. A segment was knocked over by a stiff wind in 2020.

Trump promised to build a big beautiful wall across the southern border, but that Mexico would pay for it.

Mexico didn't pay for it. U.S. taxpayers did.

President Joe Biden said that he would return the $2 billion diverted from the Pentagon budget for the project.
