Mykhailo Fedorov, the vice prime minister of Ukraine, sent an open letter to the consoles asking them to block Russian and Belarusian players.
Federov published a letter on his account that was addressed to all game development companies, but he specifically tagged the two consoles.

Fedorov wrote a letter to companies asking them to stop Russian and Belarusian players from participating in international tournaments.
We are sure that such actions will motivate the citizens of Russia to stop the military aggression, Fedorov wrote.
Insider contacted both consoles, but neither replied when they were contacted outside of normal working hours.
The company said on Wednesday that it would ban teams with ties to the Russian government.
Federov sent a letter to Apple CEO Tim Cook asking that the company stop doing business in Russia.
