Germany seized the world's largest mega-yacht worth $600 million belonging to Russian oligarch Alisher Usmanov, according to Forbes report

Forbes reported that Germany seized the mega-yacht of Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov.

The first yacht to be seized since Russia launched its attack on Ukraine was docked in Germany for months for a refitting.

The largest motor yacht in the world is Dilbar, a 512-foot yacht that weighs 15,917 tons.

It took 52 months to build the $600 million yacht that was bought by Usmanov, according to Forbes.

The State Department could not confirm if the yacht was seized. The Federal Foreign Office did not respond to the request for comment.

Many countries, including the US and the European Union, have implemented sanctions against Russia in an effort to end the country.

According to the Guardian, the European Union imposed sanctions on Usmanov. He stepped down as President of the International Fencing Federation after the European Union imposed sanctions against him.
