The Russia Today channel was removed from the platform in the early evening of March 1. Earlier in the day, that followed the same move by DirecTV. The U.S.-based arm of the state-run media service is called RT America.

Before it was taken down from the store, the channel had more than 4,000 ratings and 3.8 stars out of 5. The Peacock listing has 97,221 ratings and a 3.5-star score. The world's largest streaming service has 4.2 million ratings and a 3.8-star score.

It's not clear how many people watched the show on the platform, which is the No. 1 streaming service in the United States.

In its Channel Store, RT America was transparent. The opening line of the description said it was a Russia state-affiliated channel. Foreign political influence in the United States is identified by FARA.

According to the listing on the channel store, there are 70 million weekly viewers in 38 countries, with 8 million in the United States.

As of the afternoon of March 2, RT America was still available on Sling TV. The company hasn't responded to our inquiry about whether or not it intends to keep RT America as an add-on option. The RT America channel has 1.22 million subscribers.
