There will be more sports coverage on the programming slate. Turner Sports has a deal with the US Soccer Federation to show matches exclusively on Turner channels.

The men's and women's national teams will be streamed more than 20 times each year, as part of the eight-year agreement that will begin in 2023, WarnerMedia announced Tuesday. Half of those will be aired by WarnerMedia's linear channels, while the other half will be streamed exclusively on the premium channel.

Turner Sports and Bleacher Report will have exclusive rights to live coverage of the matches. Turner Sports is the exclusive English-language home of various events for the women's and men's national soccer teams in the US.

WarnerMedia inked a deal with the National Hockey League last year to bring coverage to HBO Max, but it builds on the company's commitment to diversity and better positions the service. It makes the service even more attractive to sports fans, who are more likely to use it than film and TV fans.

This is a significant milestone for Turner Sports and WarnerMedia, further demonstrating our commitment to the distribution of premium live sports content on HBO Max, while simultaneously fueling our leading entertainment networks, digital and social assets.

Daniels said that the deal allows the company to engage with the teams through all of their platforms.
