The 3-in-1 MagSafe Travel Charger is an official MagSafe accessory that directly competes with Apple's Duo accessory. The Travel Charger from Mophie can charge three devices at the same time, instead of two, and it comes with a power cable and carrying case.
The 3-in-1 Travel Charger is more expensive than the MagSafe Duo, but it has the same design. It includes a pop-up Apple Watch charging dock that supports Nightstand Mode, a MagSafe charging puck, and a wireless charging puck for AirPods.
Two of the charging pucks are Apple components, but each of the three chargers has black plastic bases. The only company that had access to the official Apple charging hardware was Belkin, but now other companies can get it. The charging hardware used by Mophie is made for the Apple Watch and MagSafe.
I don't like the black plastic used for the bases of the chargers because it feels cheap and lightweight, but it probably keeps costs down and it's also lightweight. The outer case is made of gray and black fabric, and the chargers fold over one another into a square-shaped package.
The folded-up Travel Charger can be found inside a felt travel pouch that also has a 30W power adapter and a charging cable. The Series 7 models of the Apple Watch are not able to be charged at the faster charging rate because it is not a fast charger.
Everything included is basic and no frills, but it is not unattractive and I appreciate that Mophie has included all of the components that you need to use the charger in one easy to carry package.
It is about an inch and a half thick and three and a half inches wide when folded up. The carrying case it goes into is seven inches long and four and a half inches wide, so it is a bit larger when in the case. If you want, you can carry it without the case, but you have to have the power and cable.
I think the Mophie 3-in-1 Travel Charger is ideal for travel. It is easy to get the components in and out of the case. I travel a lot and have been using the MagSafe Duo, but I like that the Mophie charge has an extra spot for the AirPods.
The MagSafe charger included with the Mophie accessory is the same as the Apple one. It was able to charge an Apple device that was dead to 33 percent in a half hour, which is the same result I see with a standard charging cable.
The 3-in-1 Travel Charger can be used with an 200C; iPhone, but charging will be slower. The MagSafe charging spot can be used for non-MagSafe phones with no magnetic alignment, and it can also be used for AirPods.
If you travel a lot and hate dealing with cables, the Mophie 3-in-1 Travel Charger is the best portable one on the market. It has an extra charging spot and comes with a charging cable and power source that I need to charge my device at full speed.
It is not the best looking charger, but it works well in my testing. It is expensive at $150, but it is worth considering if you need a charging solution that is worth the money.
