H&M is suspending all sales in Russia due to the invasion of Ukraine.

The world's second-biggest retailer said it was concerned about the developments in Ukraine.

The Swedish retailer said in an official statement that it stands with all the people who are suffering.

H&M is the latest firm to stop selling products because of the attacks by Russia.

H&M's Russian English-language website was unavailable for customers to place orders.

According to recent figures, Russia is H&M's sixth-biggest market, accounting for 4% of group sales in the fourth quarter of 2021.

The fashion giant has recently opened shops under other brands in Russia, including Weekday and Other Stories. Monki and Cos clothes can be ordered online.

The retailer has more than 150 stores in Russia according to its 2020 annual report.

Shops in Ukraine have been temporarily closed due to the safety of customers and colleagues, according to the firm.

A number of major firms have spoken out about the invasion of Ukraine.

Fast fashion retailers Asos will no longer serve customers in Russia.

An Asos spokesman said on Wednesday that it was not practical or right to continue to trade in Russia.

Boohoo and Nike have not commented on the conflict, but customers in Russia can't order their products online.

Apple has paused all product sales in Russia, saying it was deeply concerned and stands with those suffering as a result of the violence.
