The event will take place in Austin, Texas on April 6 at 11:30 am and 2:30 pm. The area has upcoming startup and recent milestone. It is the city of tech giants. Almost 200 people are moving to the Texas capital on a daily basis because of the laid-back lifestyle and lower cost of living, and many of them work in the tech industry.

Austin was not an overnight success. For a long time it was known for its software scene. New sectors include real estate tech, and insurance technology. A new generation of entrepreneurs is being created by companies that have been successful in the past.

The companies that surpassed a $1 billion valuation in 2021 are The Zebra, Abrigo, ZenBusiness and Iodine Software. The so-called Silicon Hills district is home to many, including Apple, Amazon, and Facebook.

Austin was no exception, as funding around the world surged over the past year. According to Silicon Hills News, the year of 2021 was the biggest funding year ever for Austin startups, with $4.9 billion raised, more than double the $2.3 billion raised in 2020. All of the top 10 deals for Austin in the next two years were over $100 million.

Companies and investors are moving here. After relocating from the coasts, a number of venture capitalists now call Austin home. Joe Lonsdale, co-founder ofPalantir, said last year that he was moving his venture capital firm, 8VC, from Silicon Valley to the city.

There is more. Local leaders and investors are invited to speak on the episode. We want to know what it took to build the mature ecosystems.

We need your help. You can apply to pitch your startup during the live event. The startups will pitch their companies to our guests. There is a prize this time around. The winner of the contest will get a free booth at the event.
