Apple will be holding an event online on March 8th with an invite that features a performance slogan and a multicolored Apple logo.
The company didn't give any further details about what the virtual event will involve.
Mark Gurman, who is often a reliable source for Apple rumors, thinks Apple may announce a low-cost phone. He suggests that the new device will have 5G, a faster A15 chip, and better cameras. The new SE may retain the Touch ID feature, but it will share the same design as the current one.
Gurman theorizes that Apple will announce a new version of the iPad Air. The new tablets are expected to come with a new processor and 5G. Gurman thinks that Apple could roll out a new update that would allow Face ID-equipped phones to be unlocked while wearing a face mask. The new update is expected to include a Universal Control feature that will allow users to use a single keyboard and mouse across multiple devices.
It is rumored another Mac with Apple-designed chips may arrive in March, but that won't be something we will likely see at this particular event. We won't see the new iPhone 14 models, Apple Watches, MacBook Air, iMac, and Mac Pro desktops in the foreseeable future.
