Corral has 'no regrets' about playing in bowl game (0:35)

Matt Corral was never going to sit out the Ole Miss bowl game. (0:35)

At the NFL scouting combine, Ole Miss quarterback Matt Corral said he has no regrets about playing in the Sugar Bowl in January and that he is on track to be at full speed for his March 24 pro day on campus.

The Ole Miss quarterback will not throw at the combine because he is still recovering from an ankle injury. The injury was a high ankle sprain, no breaks, and no tears, according to Corral.

At the combine, multiple teams inquired about whether he regretted playing in the bowl game or not, he said.

I said absolutely not, and they asked if I regretted it. I didn't think about it in my mind. I was going to play.

He said that his recovery from the injury, which was originally framed at six to eight weeks, is coming along well enough that he recently started taking full dropbacks in his workouts as well as running in his conditioning.

Corral said that he started throwing and running a few weeks ago. I'm throwing at 100% right now. I started taking dropbacks about two and a half weeks ago. Before that, I was just throwing from spots.

In his final two seasons at Ole Miss, Corral had a combined 49 passing touchdown. He threw for 3,349 yards and 20 touchdown and rushed for 614 yards and 11 touchdown.

According to Mel Kiper Jr., Corral is the third best quarterback prospect in the draft behind Pitt and Liberty. Todd McShay has Corral as the No. 27 prospect overall and also the No. 3 quarterback.

I am not able to perform physically at the combine, but I can definitely show the teams what I know.
