According to Radio Free Europe, the country's interior ministry had previously urged families to identify captured or killed Russian troops.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Wednesday that 6,000 Russians were killed in the first six days of the invasion.

In a video address, Zelensky said that Russian mothers are losing their children in a foreign country.

Russia has yet to provide updated figures on its confirmed deaths. The number of Ukrainian military deaths is not known.
