Hansjorg Wyss, a Swiss billionaire, claims he has been offered the chance to buy a football team.

The 86-year-old admitted that he was interested in buying the club but only as part of a consortium.

Should the UK Government impose sanctions on the owner of the west London club, that could make it difficult for Russian-Israeli billionaire Roman Abramovich to retain his ownership of the club.

Abramovich is trying to sell all of his villas in England, and he also wants to get rid of Chelsea quickly, according to Wyss.

I and three other people received an offer to buy the club. I have to wait for at least four to five days. The man is asking too much.

You know, they owe him 2 billion. There is no money for Chelsea. We don't know the selling price.

I can see myself starting at Chelsea with partners. I have to look at the general conditions first.

I am definitely not doing something like this alone. If I buy the club, I will have a group of investors.

Sky Sports News has been told that the club is not for sale.

Chris Bryant used Parliamentary Privilege to tell the House of Commons that the Russian billionaire is terrified of being sanctioned and is selling his UK home and another flat.

Sky Sports News has contacted the representatives of the two companies.

The Charity Commission have asked the six trustees of the Chelsea Foundation for information on a range of issues and have confirmed that the Chelsea Foundation has made a 'serious incident report' over Roman Abramovich.

Thomas Tuchel asked reporters to stop asking him questions about the war in Ukraine, saying the situation is horrible.

Tuchel stopped the press conference after several questions, saying that he was not a politician.

I feel bad to repeat myself as I never experienced war. I feel bad talking about it.

As I sit here in peace, I am very privileged. You have to stop asking me these questions because I have no answers for you.

The day to day running of the club has not been affected by the decision to pass over control of the club to trustees.

Thomas Tuchel says that his role will not change too much after Roman Abramovich hands over stewardship of Chelsea to the club's board of trustees.

He doesn't expect his responsibilities at the club to change despite the fact that the club will be handed over to a charity. The statement was released on the eve of the Carabao Cup final.

Tuchel said that his position as a coach and in charge of the first team did not change much in the daily business.

I have daily exchanges with the director and technical advisor about how to improve the first team. It does not affect what I do on a daily basis.

Tuchel said it was too much for him to answer if it was a problem. I am not aware of the whole situation. There are situations more important than football.

This will not change. It is not for me to comment on the situation with Abramovich. I don't know enough about it.

Tuchel: We're calm in centre of a storm

Thomas Tuchel says Chelsea’s statement on the Ukraine crisis includes the club's owner Roman Abramovich.

There are more important things than football. There is no other opinion than this about war. We should be more focused than anyone else. There is a huge distraction going on and we are worried, but we try to create an atmosphere where we can focus on our passion.

Everyone in Europe has noise in their heads that they don't like. Everyone is trying to do their best.

When asked if he was worried about the future running of the club, Tuchel said he wasn't sure if he was the person to give any messages to the fans that weren't sporting.

Gary Neville has criticised the statement from Roman Abramovich regarding his decision to temporarily step away from Chelsea, following Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

We try to be calm here and we are calm in the center of a storm that we cannot control and we are also not responsible for it. Staying calm is the best way to focus on what we love. This is a sport. The players have a right to be focused on the game. We can tell the fans what they saw on Sunday.

There is a lot of commitment from the players and the fans, but everyone knows there are more important things. The situation in Ukraine is more important than football and yet there was a full stadium at Wembley and two strong teams who played a fantastic match. We can entertain the fans and distract them.
