Novak Djokovic and Marian Vajda
Marian Vajda has coached Novak Djokovic for the majority of the 20-time Grand Slam winner's career

The former world number one has split from his coach for the second time.

The number one ranking went to a Russian on Monday.

The Serb, a 20-time Grand Slam winner, began working with Slovakian Vajda as a teenager and the pair briefly split for one year.

During the most important and memorable moments in my career,Marian has been by my side.

I am very grateful for his friendship and dedication over the last 15 years, as we have achieved some incredible things.

The Serbian won three Grand Slams in a season in which he was joined by Vajda.

After being deported from Australia on the eve of the Australian Open last month, Novak Djokovic lost to Jiri Vesely in the quarter-finals of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships.

Vajda said he would look back on their time together and look forward to new challenges.
