During Tuesday's State of the Union, President Biden was heckled by Rep. Lauren Boebert before he spoke about his son's brain cancer.

Biden was in the middle of calling on Congress to pass legislation to help Iraq and Afghanistan War veterans who were exposed to toxic burn pits that were used to incinerate waste.

Many of the world's best-trained warriors were never the same after they came home. Numbness. Biden said it was a cancer that would put them in a flag-draped coffin.

According to reporters in the House Chamber, Boebert yelled "You put them there!"

I know. The president said that he didn't know if a burn pit was the cause of his brain cancer. I'm committed to finding everything we can.

Beau Biden died of brain cancer at the age of 46.

Legislation was introduced last year by the chairman of the House Veterans Affairs Committee that would make it easier for the Veteran Administration to recognize toxic exposure as a cost of war.

The Honoring Our Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics Act passed out of committee last summer, but has yet to receive a full vote in the House.

The Biden administration called on Congress to pass the legislation.

Boebert's tenure in Congress has been focused on opposing Biden.

By the end of her first month in office, the Colorado Republican had introduced four bills opposing executive orders issued by Biden regarding a range of issues.

She introduced a bill to censure Biden in June of 2021.

Boebert introduced articles of impeachment against Biden and Harris over the handling of the U.S. military withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Joe Biden abandoned his duty as president of the United States and violated his oath of office by failing to ensure the national security of the United States and its citizens.

Her bill has not been voted on.
