Biden says the US will seize yachts and luxury apartments from Russian oligarchs with wealth parked in the country: 'We are coming for your ill-begotten gains'

During his State of the Union address on Tuesday evening, President Joe Biden said that the US will soon take control of Russian wealth.

Biden said in his address that they were joining with European allies to find and seize your wealth.

It happened in the wake of the Russia invasion of Ukraine. The US and European nations have imposed a number of sanctions on the Russian economy in order to cripple it. Russia's ability to use its foreign reserves to finance its invasion or prop up its economy was blocked by some of the harsher measures.

More lawmakers seem to be in favor of targeting the wealth of the wealthy in the US.

It would be great to see seized mega-yachts, mansions and artworks auctioned off to support the Ukrainian people, according to Sen. Whitehouse.
